The editorial environment
Flow Archive is a central and specialized user-interface of the Flow system. Designed and built specifically for editorial users, Flow Archive offers a wealth of editorial functions covering the entire workflow-chain from ingest, content management, project management, collaboration to publication and monetization. Naturally this is based on complete database-management and media-processing run/automated through the separate Device & Workflow Manager module. This gives editorial users of the Flow Archive not just very extensive editorial features, but also means that even the most complex technical processing becomes easy-to-use (and largely happen “under the hood”).
Key features of the Flow Archive:
Upload – http, FTP, Upload-Rooms, network transfers, etc. mostly combined with auto-transcoding of previews, XML-Imports
Archive – search, view, edit, project, approve and download / distribute any type of content – photo, video audio, documents
Metadata – freely composable structures of (multi-language) metadata, technical information, usage-rights, approval-status, etc.
Project Management – freely composable structures of individual or shared folders / subfolders each with its’ own metadata, user-access, etc.
Screening & Approval – creation, naming, selection & compiling, texting and addressing of individual Rooms (micro-sites) for the purpose of fast and very easy communication both of internal and external feedbacks, comments, approvals.
Publishing / Distribution– downloads of choosable formats, distribution of individual files or entire content packages, usage of (fully automated, individual) workflows of any kind (QC, delivery, publishing), publishing to any connected playout-service (TV, web, apps, shops, etc.), publishing to other groups.
The Flow Archive is modern, sleek, and compact to use. We designed it with PORSCHE, so it fits like a glove, yet offers powerful features for any situation. The Flow Archive comes in many shapes and forms. It is a powerful engine yet extremely flexible. No two customers are the same – so Flow Archive is completely configurable, usage-rights setable down to the last detail.
The Archive GUI is a browser-based view / operating tool of Flow Center. No installations are needed from the client side and the system will run with any (current) browser. The entire surface is built for easy drag&drop operability and quite intuitive.
